 Steak Fries The time is almost upon us for anouther season of Steak Fries. These are super events were our guests get to show off their culinary skills by cooking their own steaks on our event grills. The cost this year will be $30.00 per person. This includes: A select strip steak, which you get to grill to your own taste, Frank's special rubs for the steaks, a bottle of our wine per couple, or a half bottle for a single, a large baked potato, a roll, salad, humongous dessert, and plenty of coffee. Dining on our shelter deck is a unique outdoor experience, and there is no charge for the vineyard ambiance. (But we do charge extra for the fish stories.) There are ten dates scheduled, all dates ore Saturdays. Dates are Saturday June 26, July 10, 17, 24, 31, August 7, Friday 13, 21, 28, and September 4. . Reservations are required. Get a group together, or just bring a spouse or a friend, and come out. Cheese Tasting This is the 7th year for our Cheese tasting events, featuring. The cost this year is $20.00 per person. (imported cheese prices have gone through the roof.) This includes: a taste of at least 6 cheeses matched to our wines, information about the country the cheese comes from, information about each cheese, a group discussion of the merits of each cheese and a chance to grade the cheeses (the winning cheeses, as voted by our guests, are featured at the end of the year in our "Best of the Year" events in November), a technical handout on cheese, a cultural handout dealing with wine and food, a cheese recipe from our collection, and best of all a chance to socialize at the end of the evening with other guests. This year most of our events will be "TO be Announced". This is to allow us to base our selections on what is available. Reservation are required. We do not take reservations for a Cheese event until the first of the month, except for "The Best of the Year" events. Because they come early in November we start taking reservations Oct 1. Reservations are limited to 20 people. A small group lets everyone be more comfortable in our small tasting room. Group that can guarantee 20 guests can arrange a speical private tasting by calling and talking to Janet. Everything is purchased especially for the event and because we have priced the event as low as we possible can, we expect people to call if they can't make it so we have a chance to replace them. All schedule cheese events are held on Wednesdays at 7:00pm., after we are closed for the day. We have updated and expanded our lending library. If you are unfamilar with this let me take a moment to fill you in. We love to read, and we feel little time is better spent then with a glass of wine and a good book. Put these together out on our covered deck, in our patio, or in the comfort of our tasting room and you have the makings of the perfect day. We know not eveyone carries their favorite book with them so we have assembled a collection of books together for you. Simply buy a glass of wine and select a book from our shelves. You are then welcome to sit and read to your hearts content. If you don't finish your book before you have to leave, no problem, just mark your page, or take the book with you. All we ask in return is that you bring the book, or a different book, back when your done. No late fees, no due dates. Remember this is free for all our customers so please respect others page markers, and don't let our resources dwindle till none can enjoy. All in all this is our way of thanking you our faithful customers for 10 years of support. Come out and relax on us. . Harvest
Every fall we gather together to gather the grapes. We hand pick all our grapes with the help of a great group of volenteers. If you would like to join us, and become part of your favorite wine's making, let Janet know. All we need is your name and phone number so we can contact you when the grapes are ready. |
